Disappointing? Yes, But You Can Always Find A Way To Cope

Have you ever been disappointed that you best friend, loved one, or even someone very close to you, is moving extremely far away? I know how you feel. Trust me on this one; it can be awfully disappointing. I’m not going to be like those cold-hearted people and exclude myself to the whole world, just because my best friend isn’t here to share the experiences with me. Like the saying says, “If one door closes another door will open.” With this being said, hanging out with her for the whole weekend, promising to keep in contact, and celebrating a new beginning for her, by having a “going away” party, are several ideas on how I coped with this dreadfully disappointing situation.

Starting off, being like peanut butter and jelly, we always did everything together. With her moving, I seriously doubt that any of the things we were custom to doing, can ever happen. For example, we loved hanging out on the weekends. But c’mon now, do you seriously think we can do that when we live approximately 2,000 miles apart? I didn’t think so. Without skipping a heartbeat, it was at that time the idea hit me. (more…)
